How Our Pickup Service Works
We operate a fleet of trucks serving communities daily.
Our process is designed to be effortless for you.
It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3.
1. Pack It Up
Gather your gently used clothing and goods into manageable boxes or sturdy bags.
2. Leave It Out
Place your labeled items on your porch or driveway by 8:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day.
3. We Collect
Our friendly drivers will collect the items and leave a tax-deductible receipt on your door.

Updated Furniture Policy
To better support our mission of serving American Veterans, AMVETS is updating its furniture donation pickup policy. Effective immediately, all furniture donations must be screened and approved prior to scheduling a pickup. This change has been made to help eliminate waste, lower operational costs, increase route efficiency, and maximize fundraising directly for the Veterans we serve.
Furniture Condition & Approval Requirements
Furniture will only be considered for pickup if it meets the following criteria:
Excellent Condition: Items must be clean and free of stains, odors, pet damage, and excessive wear.
Safe Transport: The item must be structurally sound and safe for our team to load and transport.
Route Capacity: The pickup must fit within our current truck scheduling and route availability.
Visual Verification: Photos of the items must be provided if requested by our team.
Please Note: Furniture approval is a helpful review process but is not guaranteed.
Acceptable Furniture Examples
✓ Tables and chairs.
✓ Recliners and seating.
✓ Dressers and bedroom storage.
✓ Quality estate sale donations.
Note: All items remain subject to approval.
Unacceptable Furniture Examples
❌ Broken, damaged, or missing parts.
❌ Stained, dirty, or excessively worn.
❌ Water-damaged, moldy, or mildewed.
❌ Carrying strong odors (smoke, pets, etc.)
❌ Unsafe or too heavy to transport.
Under driver instructions, please list items to be picked up.
Note: We are unable to go up/down stairs or elevators.
